The third level of the Moore College Correspondence Course is the Theological Certificate. This is awarded after completing a further six subjects have been completed (in addition to the 12 modules in the previous certificates). These modules must include three compulsory subjects and three from the list of options.

The compulsory modules are:

Old Testament 3 The Wisdom Literature and the writings of the Prophets to Israel. Studies of selected Psalms, and the prophetic work of Isaiah. [View syllabus]

New Testament 3 Paul and his ministry. Investigating the problems he faced, the gospel he preached and the letters he wrote. [View syllabus]

Doctrine 3 The Church. What it is, and what does it do in the purposes of God? Attention is paid to Christian worship, baptism and the Lord's supper. [View syllabus]

Option 1: Students can one of these two modules:

Old Testament 4
A focus on the writings with a particular look at the nature of wisdom literature in the Old Testament. [View syllabus]

Gospel and Epistles of John
The gospel and the letters of John, showing to us the importance of his witness to the life and work of Jesus Christ. [View syllabus]

Option 2: Students take one of these two modules:

New Testament 4
An overview of the non-Pauline letters, with an in-depth look at Hebrews and how to understand Revelation. [View syllabus]

Option 3 - Students take either of the following modules:

Apologetics
This course is written with the conviction that apologetics is more than just intellectual and philosophical debate. Apologetics involves people's whole beings. Modern apologists need to be concerned with how people feel toward Christ and the gospel, as well as with how they think about Christ and the gospel. [View syllabus]
